Our first dairy goats were Saanens. They are fairly big goats, which can produce a lot of milk and normally milk through
for more than a year. We then purchased "Angus", and later "Emmett", both Anglo-Nubian bucks. Anglo-Nubians are smaller
than Saanens, and also produce somewhat less milk, but their milk is often higher in fat and protein. By crossing the
two breeds we were hoping to get the best of both worlds ("Snubians").
