Question? How is your milk processed?
Answer: The milk that we sell for drinking is chilled and bottled shortly after milking. We normally deliver it to our outlets the same day it has been milked. All milk that is not sold for drinking is pasteurised and processed to cheese.

Question: Is it legal to sell unpasteurised goat milk for human consumption?
Answer: Yes, the WA Foodact 2008 exempts goat milk from the otherwise compuslory pasteurisation.

Question: Are your goats spray-free pasture raised and bred without hormones and antibiotics?
Answer:
•  Our goats are "free-range". They have about 40ha of fenced pasture to roam.
•  We do not spray, with the exception of a small strip along the electric fences, to prevent the grass from shortening the fence.
•  We do not use hormones or antibiotics to grow them. However, we use antibiotics and other drugs if required to treat sick animals, but strictly adhere to the required withholding periods. Milk or meat from aminals within the withholding period is not used for human consumption.

Question: What do you feed your goats?
Answer: Besides the browse from the paddock and some woody shrubs we planted for them (e.g. Tagasaste, Wattles), our goats are fed a good quality hay and a custom made grain concentrate from a local feed mill. It constains a mix of different grains, minerals and trace elements, but is not medicated (does not contain a rumen-modifier).
