About our Farm and Goat Farming
There are probably many different small marsupials living on our farm and around our house. However, because they are nocturnal, we
only see them occasionally.
This little fella, a Western Pygmy Possum (Cercartetus concinnus), fell into a plastic bucket in our shed,
probably looking for food, and could not get out anymore. When it got cold during the night, it entered into hibernation.
We found it, curled up in a tight ball, with its large, floppy ears folded down over its eyes, and its hands scrunched up into tiny
fists (picture below from Australian Geographic).
